On Sunday the Husband, baby B and I left Canberra for our takeoff point, Melbourne, with 2 suitcases, 2 backpacks, 1 nappy bag, a stroller, an ergobaby 360…I think that’s all phew!
Flight number 1 was a dream flight. I bought B a dummy to prevent ear pain on take off but he fell asleep before we left the runway and wasn’t interested in the dummy. About 20 minutes out from landing he woke again for a brief play before passing out in the ergobaby at the baggage carousel. Let’s hope the flight to London goes half as well.
We used the last of our credit card lounge passes to enjoy a trip to the lounge which I highly recommend if you are travelling with a baby. We had plenty of room to spread out and of course indulge in some lunch and beverages.
We are still trying to refine our luggage for the big long-haul flight to London on Thursday (I’ll do a post on what we finally settle on) and B’s Grandma and Grandpa are soaking up a good dose of him before our 5 month odyssey.
